Stress Testing Windows 7 / Windows 2008 R2 VDI
The release date of Microsoft’s new workstation operating system, Windows 7, the follow-up version to Windows Vista, has been annouced as October 22. Windows Server 2008 R2, the follow-up version to Windows Server 2008, will be publicly available about the same time.
We are already working to ensure that we can provide stress, performance and scalability testing for these new platforms – the VDI capabilities of Windows 7 running on Server 2008 R2 look particularly interesting.
Our tool already works with the latest version of the Remote Desktop Client, and with Windows 2008, so we should be able to complete verification of the testing pretty soon.
