Additional Data Generation for Volume Test

A volume test can help you understand how your Remedy ITSM application will perform with a specific amount of data (e.g. as the data volumes stored in a database grow over time). Bottlenecks and/or any system performance issues can often only be identified with sufficient production level data in the system. Scapa Technologies consulting services use Scapa TPP, our testing and monitoring tool, to generate additional data, based on your real user data.
Scope: The Scapa consultant will use Scapa TPP to create the additional volume of data required prior to designing and performing the volume test. The data generated will mimic current user data so that it is as realistic as possible, to avoid any potential issues that synthetic data might cause.
Outcome: The Scapa Technologies professional services report will provide an understanding of the system performance information gathered during the volume test, indicating any potential problem areas or further testing and monitoring activities to consider.
Optimum time to run: Volume tests should be undertaken prior to deployment, before and after upgrades, before and after migration, before and after patching and frequently on the production systems (read only transitions) during out-of-hours.
