Scapa Technologies News Update – August 2013

With the latest release of Scapa TPP for Remedy delivered last month, the feedback we’ve received validates the time and effort spent making it the simplest, yet still the most comprehensive way to test and monitor the performance of Remedy and ITSM systems, helping save time, resource and IT budgets into the bargain. To coincide with the software release, we have a new success story, written jointly with our friends at Column Technologies. It reveals how our customer CDW ensured a complex BMC Remedy ITSM upgrade project was completed successfully with a repeatable approach that can be used for future release cycles and other similar projects. Now our development team is concentrating more of its efforts on extending our APIs to help ensure the performance of many more IT systems. Keep checking this newsletter, website and our social media outlets for the latest news on all things Scapa!

Scapa TPP for Remedy

As you will, no doubt, be aware, Scapa TPP for Remedy’s “Capture, Process, Go!”, 3 steps to optimal Remedy performance, release became available last month. It really does simplify the process of testing even the most complex of Remedy and ITSM environments, as many of you will have seen during our most recent webinar presentation. There is no requirement to have any Remedy experience in order to complete full, valid tests that will provide the insight you need into how your system is performing and will perform when even minor changes occur.

If you have not yet had a chance to see the product in action, or just want to make sure to receive your copy, please contact us.

Scapa TPP – New APIs

We are continuing to develop our unique level of customization and integration with a wider variety of IT systems through extending Scapa TPP’s APIs. This development work already allows Scapa TPP users to control tests through other external programs and to create test specific user interfaces or custom tools based on the results obtained from other tests, even a simple “capture and replay”.

If you, or anyone in your organization, need to investigate and understand any system behavior and performance characteristics more fully, our professional services consultants would be happy to help guide you through the process. Contact us for more information.

Column and Scapa Technologies – Ensuring a Successful BMC Remedy ITSM Upgrade Project for CDW

Isn’t life great when a plan comes together, when things work out just perfectly and when a Remedy or ITSM upgrade project runs smoothly? OK, the first two of those might not happen so often but with Scapa TPP, there is no reason why your upgrade projects should not run smoothly. For those of you who have already completed, are in the process of completing or are looking forward to your next BMC Remedy ITSM upgrade project, this success story is for you. Our customer, CDW, knew what they wanted to achieve – optimal scalability, throughput, performance and end-user experience, along with a testing approach that could be repeated easily in future release cycles. Column and Scapa worked with them to make it happen.

Scapa Webinar: “CAPTURE, PROCESS, GO – 3 Steps to Optimal Remedy Performance”

We were very pleased to be able to demonstrate the latest release of Scapa TPP for Remedy to so many of you during our recent Scapa Webinar, “Capture, Process, Go – 3 Steps to Optimal Remedy Performance”. It was a really enjoyable session with some great questions and feedback at the end.

As we’ve said before, this new release of Scapa TPP has been developed using all of our 10+ years of experience in ensuring Remedy and ITSM system environment performance, which very much includes the feedback and inspiration we’ve received from our customers, partners and friends in the Remedy community. This is what makes these webinars and all our conversations with you so important.

Our aim is to run similar webinars more frequently. If you would be interested in attending any future Scapa Webinars, please let us know by completing the registration form on the Events page of our website.
