Scapa Technologies News Update – October 2012
It’s events season and Scapa Technologies is sponsoring the upcoming Worldwide Remedy User Group 2012 (October 15-19). This newsletter will give you the low-down on where we’ll be at the event, what we’ll be doing and how you can join in.
This year the event takes place in San Jose, California, so how could we resist? I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun. If you’re going to be there, please let us know or drop by our booth in the exhibition hall. Read on for more details…
Scapa TPP Development News
Further enhancements to simplify the process of creating tests are currently being made to Scapa TPP for Thin Client and the team is also making significant improvements to the reporting framework, in terms of report generation, distribution and storage. Stay tuned to these newsletters for more details about our progress with this and other development work.
The Worldwide Remedy User Group event (WWRUG 2012) will take place in The Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California, from 15th until 19th October. It aims to provide a forum for Remedy users to discover, learn, share and meet their peers. The theme of this year’s event is, “Sharing Tools, Technology and Training” and has a packed programme of presentations and breakout sessions.
BMC Remedy ITSM 8.0
We want to say congratulations to the guys at BMC Software on the release of version 8.0 of Remedy ITSM. We believe this version will be presented to the public at WWRUG 2012. Scapa TPP for Remedy is compatible with ALL versions of BMC Remedy ITSM, including version 8.0.
Armen’s presentation and our booth number
As sponsors of the event, we’ll have a number of our team there, meeting people, talking about Remedy and ITSM testing and picking up ideas. Armen will also be presenting his paper entitled, “Rapid Performance Evaluation and Quantification of your ITSM Deployment”, a synopsis of which can be found here. Armen’s currently scheduled to present at 5pm on Tuesday, 16th October, although this could potentially change. We will also have a booth in the exhibition hall in the Imperial Ballroom. We’re going to be in booth number 16 where we will be demonstrating Scapa TPP and getting feedback on how we can continue to develop the tool to make sure it remains the testing tool of choice for Remedy and ITSM Suite users.
NEW – Scapa Performance Testing Blog
We are really pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our Performance Testing blog. We thought we would kick this off at WWRUG 2012 to allow us to share our experiences there with a wider audience. We’re hoping the event will also give us a chance to develop some video content for our website. Ideally, we’d love to be able to create a video blog about the event, the people we meet, old friends and new! Let us know if you’ll be there and would like to take part in our video. Could this be the beginning of Scapa TV? OK, probably not…
A New Project for an Old Friend
We are currently undertaking some further work and training with our good friends at Cerner. This time their CTS team will be using Scapa TPP for Remedy in a significant testing project. It’s amazing to think that we’ve been working with Cerner for over 6 years! Starting with a Thin Client-based project, we’ve been helping them assess a wide variety of systems, including VDIs. Thanks to all concerned we’re looking forward to another very successful project.
