Scapa Technologies News Update – June 2013

With developments continuing on Scapa TPP for Remedy, Thin Client and VDI products, we felt it was time to bring you a brief update on our progress. We would like to encourage some more Early Adopters to come forward and trial our 3 step process to testing Remedy and ITSM environments. We are also pleased to announce our support for the Desktone Platform, through our Thin Client and VDI products. In more news, we have recently published a new white paper entitled, “BMC Remedy Optimization – A Best Practices Guide” and we also have had a couple of presentation topics accepted for this year’s WWRUG, taking place in San Jose in late September/early October. Read on to find out more.

Scapa TPP for Remedy – EARLY ADOPTERS WELCOME!

We are still looking for some early adopters for the new release of Scapa TPP for Remedy. This release launches the 3 step testing process called “Capture, Process, Go”, where the individual steps require minimal or no user intervention at all, and opens up testing to an even wider group of Remedy users. Contact us if you’re interested in joining our team of early adopters.

Scapa TPP for Thin Client and VDI – Support for Desktone Platform

We are delighted to announce that our Scapa TPP for Thin Client and VDI products now include support for Desktone, the only virtual desktop provider whose platform delivers desktops and applications as a cloud service. This is an exciting additional to our ever-increasing list of supported products, as Desktone enables the deployment of Windows desktops and applications from the cloud to any user, anywhere, on any device. Having the ability to test and optimize these desktops and applications will increase your return on investment (ROI) in this technology.

Scapa White Paper – BMC Remedy Optimization – A Guide to Best Practices

Scapa Technologies has been optimizing and ensuring Remedy and ITSM performance for quite some time now – way over 10 years! – and we’d like to share some of our experience with you all.

One way we thought we could do this was to put some ideas together on what we find to be “best practice” when optimizing the performance of Remedy and ITSM systems. We have done this in the form of a white paper which we now offer to you. It’s called “BMC Remedy Optimization – Guide to Best Practices” and is available to download from our website.

Whether you are upgrading, migrating or making system changes of any size or complexity, we are sure you will find some interesting and helpful advice in this white paper.

Getting Ready for WWRUG 2013 – Scapa Technologies Presentations

The World Wide Remedy User Group (WWRUG, San Jose, September 30 – October 4, 2013) annual event is a great opportunity to catch up on all things Remedy. The event is designed for “Sharing Tools, Technology and Training” and we hope to be able to share our experiences with you there. We’ve had a couple of presentation topics accepted by the review panel. These are, “Rapid Performance Evaluation and Quantification of ITSM Deployment” (Armen Avedisijan) and “How to optimize the full Remedy stack (including the web stack), for lightning performance and maximal end user experience, by incorporating Scapa Technologies 3 step ‘capture, process and go’ testing method” (Derek Roberts). Click here to find out more about these presentations and others. We hope to see you there.
